Student Membership “Babbage”

For students and apprentices up to 25 years (proof required)

Thank you very much for your interest in the student membership “Babbage”!

The English mathematician and inventor Charles Babbage (1791–1881) studied at Trinity College, Cambridge. His later reputation as a pioneer in computing history is primarily based on his design of two mechanical calculating machines: the “Difference Engine” and the “Analytical Engine”. Although these machines were never completed as planned, Babbage had a major influence on the development of modern computing technology. Even as a student, he reformed the mathematics curriculum at Cambridge.
