Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646–1716) was an exceptionally versatile and tireless scholar who set new standards in nearly all fields of knowledge – from mathematics and philosophy to law. In 1673, he presented his calculating machine in London, which for the first time offered a mechanical solution for all four basic arithmetic operations.

I consent to the storage and use of my personal data by the Society of Friends and Supporters of the Arithmeum solely for the purposes of the association. No personal data will be shared with third parties without my explicit consent, unless required by law. I have read and accept the statutes and the privacy policyof the Society of Friends and Supporters of the Arithmeum on its website (www.friendsofarithmeum.com). I am aware that I may withdraw my consent at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR. Important notes

Membership certificates for the current year will be issued after receipt of the membership fee or after collection via direct debit by the Society of Friends and Supporters of the Arithmeum.

Please note that the membership fee is charged per calendar year, regardless of the date of entry. For memberships starting after 1 November, the fee applies to the remainder of the current year and the following full year.

Membership is automatically renewed. Cancellation is possible by 30 September each year, effective 31 December of the same year.

In the case of partner or family memberships, we will inform the adult members upon cancellation, giving them the option to convert to individual membership.

For shared addresses, postal communication for partner or family memberships is sent only once.

Membership fees may be tax-deductible in accordance with legal provisions. Donation receipts can be issued upon request.
