Family Membership “Schickard”

For two adults with children up to 18 years (proof required)

Thank you very much for your interest in the family membership “Schickard”!

Wilhelm Schickard (1592–1635), professor of Hebrew and astronomy in Tübingen, went down in history as the inventor of the world’s first calculating machine capable of performing mechanical decimal carry operations. This universal genius, who never left his native Swabian region, maintained active correspondence with many scholars of his time, including Johannes Kepler. Kepler acknowledged Schickard’s technical abilities by referring to him as a “two- handed philosopher.”
